/now
Now is a generic concept of the indieweb. Have a /now
page and now people know what to expect. It's a bit like having a doormat : people know what to expect.
This page is a snapshot of me today. How am I feeling ? What am I working on ? What's next ? It is updated once in a while when I feel like things changed enough.
The purpose is different than the home page. The home page is about the website, this one is about me.

Summer passes and winter slowly comes. That's how the year revolves. Winter would be the greatest season were it not for the lack of sunlight. It really depresses me, but I'm seeking help from vitamins and psychologists.
Last time, I said : "I'll try to stay hot without burning myself. Kinda like a trek. I'm not sure of the steps, but I have a beautiful picture in mind. I don't need to run, just walk with a good foot.". I feel like I lost something of that already and want to get back at it. I definitively burnt myself out on music; starting slow again should help.
Main
Here's where my head is at :
- Get moving ! I have a small morning routine (mainly stretches) to get better at moving my body. But once in a while, like 3-4 times a week, I'll do something more intensive :
- Some swimming 🏊. The bassin just sucks and is overcrowded. I'll complete my 10 swim pass and move on.
- I just got back at indoor bouldering. Let's establish a routine 😁. No routine yet, but I'm definitively going more often than before.
- Go walk hard ! Get ready for future treks and stay healthy ! (Additional weight and steep incline might be needed)
- Most important of all : stretch in the morning. It wakes me up and I feel like rusty. I like rust but not on my joints !
- Get (back at) playing !
- Just do some basic training on irish music, that genre is on hold indefinitively.
- Take my time on other things. If I take 3 weeks to learn a song, then so be it ! Right now, I'm focusing on :
- Marble Machine
- Joe Dassin
- Céline Dion
- Some anime music
- Spend time on 🔥hot🔥 projects :
- This website. I left it to rot for two month, I feel like I could add some content, mainly about my readings.
- I'm contemplating adding a "skill/project tree" on this page to show where I'm at.
- Hani, the stained glass clock. I've got all the parts scattered around, all that's left is to actually build it. That's just the hardest part, nothing more.
- This website. I left it to rot for two month, I feel like I could add some content, mainly about my readings.
- Write the scenario for the rpg "Charleroi 2077" and test run it.
- Learn Walloon ! I'm at school for that. Dutch will have to wait 2 years, I can't do everything at once.
Once I've done most a good bit of those, I can go back to rust 🦀 :
- Finish the advent of code logic gates question
- Draft the AoC article
- Continue "TooManyLinkedLists"
- Start the Embedonomicon
Medias
I have, at all times, a google spreadsheet file that contains stuff to do. It has multiple tabs. I won't copy the content to not have to sync it up, but here's to have an idea of its size :
69
(nice) movies that everybody are shocked I've never seen. I've watched the Deadpools and John Wick recently but other movies were added to the list.0
irish tunes I want to learn. I guess this list needs some filtering. I'm done with that for the moment.12
other folk songs I'd prefer rooted in my brain. Perhaps I can appreciate learning those instead ?18
songs (anime, french, rock, pop) that I'd like to know too.- A full setlist of Joe Dassin
- A full setlist of Céline Dion
7
books (not counting those I have on my e-reader but not opened)
That alone could take me multiple years, and I know those lists will only grow. I'm okay with that. I much prefer having to choose between a lots of things I love than not love much.

I still need to add to this list the books I've read on my clara but haven't put on goodreads. To speak the truth, I'm not sure I'll write a complete review for every single one. Moreover, once in a while, I'll stumble back on a book I've read that wasn't listed in either of these, and add it to the list here. It should mean a lot of writing about comic strips and mangas.
Blog posts ideas
The projects pages exists, but they are empty. I still want to write about :
- Advent of Code. This one might be under construction for a while. Hell, it has to be under construction every year
- Then, there are projects that are not even started yet :
- Snackathon : Juste a friendly ride between fries houses with friends. Still means a lot to me 🇧🇪
- Balthazar. A card game using Godot. Might take I while, but I love card games and am disappointed in the existing ones. It might also allow me to develop skills that may be useful later.
- A pinball machine ! It would be the summit of so many of the skills I learned. Let's build Hani and Balthazar before.
Separately,
- Journey into Rust : How I (and you could have) learned Rust, where to look at, how to make it painless.
Website enhancement
- Implements a few ideas from 100 things to do :
- 8 : Development a reactive image map, like a floor plan of the website. Might need javascript but that'll be really visually appealling
- 13 : Add an easter egg (what ? how ? where ?)
- 20 : Consider accessibility using WAVE
- 27 : Implement RSS
- 70 : Help someone setup their own website
- 100+81 : Add a map of places visited (zoom mainly on Europe)
- X1 : Add a skill tree to /now
- Create a stat board
- Study analytics and integrate elements in the stat board
- Create a scrawler script that keeps the stat board up to date
- Write a makefile to make sure I run the scrawler before building ! (build-scrawl-build ?)
- Procedural tag bubble colors
- A rainbow shortcode
- Backport all thoses changes (echart, stat board, procedural bubble, rainbow text) to Duckquill and update to latest (v6)
