Now
/now
Now is a generic concept of the indieweb. Have a /now
page and now people know what to expect. It's a bit like having a doormat : people know what to expect.
This page is a snapshot of me today. How am I feeling ? What am I working on ? What's next ? It is updated once in a while when I feel like things changed enough.
The purpose is different than the home page. The home page is about the website, this one is about me.

I'm completely recovered from my accident. That's unwordingly nice. I'm even recovering my right eyebrow movement that I lost for the summer. Talk about luck !
Going forwards, I can't live life on autopilot anymore. Fear has a reason to be there. When you don't know if you'll have a roof or food, yes, that's stressful. When you consider going on an e-scooter without an helmet, fear is completely justified.
This helped me reframe a lot of other fears linked to work, romance, and overall what to do. When you imagine the worst, you're not really free to create.
I've newfound energy, purpose and motivation. I'll try to stay hot without burning myself. Kinda like a trek. I'm not sure of the steps, but I have a beautiful picture in mind. I don't need to run, just walk with a good foot.
Main
Here's where my head is at :
-
Get moving ! I have a small morning routine (mainly stretches) to get better at moving my body. But once in a while, like 3-4 times a week, I'll do something more intensive :
- Go back swimming 🏊. I wonder what's left of the movements and what's gained with my better physical health.
- I just got back at indoor bouldering. Let's establish a routine 😁
- Go walk hard ! Get ready for future treks and stay healthy ! (Additional weight and steep incline might be needed)
-
Get playing !
- The last polka I learned presents a lot of opportunities to train certain techniques on the violins : double-note, impulsion, pinky finger, theory, etc. I'll do that
- It can also be played on the tin whistle. Let's train that !
- I don't want to rush to
n
tunes that I can play but there's so much I want to learn 😊. That'll be a focus on Joe Dassin- Sing while playing ?

Spend time on 🔥hot🔥 projects :
- This website
- nisf.be
- This needs a javascript inscription form
- This also needs special people/bands/sessions pages
- Once everything setup, I shall call for data to the organizers
- The art nouveau clock
- Citadelle, a jab at Tinder
- An ASBL (non-profit) for le palet vendéen in Belgium
-
Be ready for future tabletop roleplaying games (ttrpg, pen and paper) with a few scenario written :
- Symbaroum normal adventure
- Symbaroum goblin liquidators
- Fate Jojo
- Fate Charleroi 2077
-
Learn Dutch 🇳🇱 ! I add 8 new words a day, that's already 480 in two months, and I shall continue. I also might spend more time listening to podcasts in Dutch.
Once I've done most a good bit of those, I can go back to rust 🦀 :
- Finish the advent of code logic gates question
- Draft the AoC article
- Continue "TooManyLinkedLists"
- Start the Embedonomicon
Medias
I have, at all times, a google spreadsheet file that contains stuff to do. It has multiple tabs. I won't copy the content to not have to sync it up, but here's to have an idea of its size :
69
(nice) movies that everybody are shocked I've never seen. I'm just not into movies dudes.31
irish tunes I want to learn. I guess this list needs some filtering.12
other folk songs I'd prefer rooted in my brain.18
songs (anime, french, rock, pop) that I'd like to know too.- A full setlist of Joe Dassin
- A full setlist of Céline Dion
6
books (not counting those I have on my e-reader but not opened)
That alone could take me multiple years, and I know those lists will only grow. I'm okay with that. I much prefer having to choose between a lots of things I love than not love much.

I still need to add to this list the books I've read on my clara but haven't put on goodreads. To speak the truth, I'm not sure I'll write a complete review for every single one. Moreover, once in a while, I'll stumble back on a book I've read that wasn't listed in either of these, and add it to the list here. It should mean a lot of writing about comic strips and mangas.
Blog posts ideas
The projects pages exists, but they are empty. I still want to write about :
- Advent of Code. This one might be under construction for a while. Hell, it has to be under construction every year
Nisf. I'm doing a website for a local festival. Let's do that website well and they say how I did it. How the comittee organised itself.. Might inspire some people.- I'm looking into implementing a form for inscriptions. If it goes well, it'll deserve a blog post or a contribution to the Duckquill theme.
- Then, there are projects that are not even started yet :
- Speechs : I like to speak, I'm confident in public. If I create something that interest people one day, I want to be able to give the best public speeches that I can. I might mean modifying or creating tools.
- Snackathon : Juste a friendly ride between fries houses with friends. Still means a lot to me 🇧🇪
- Gourmet Walk : Huh, kinda the same energy, but with more planning to do.
- Cryptocurrency : This one is insanely enormous. I need to setup comments first to see critics. I also need to have success in other ventures first to have enough to pay a lawyer to help me protect my ass if I ever touch cryptocurrencies.
- Balthazar. A card game using Godot. Might take I while, but I love card games and am disappointed in the existing ones.
Separately,
- Journey into Rust : How I (and you could have) learned Rust, where to look at, how to make it painless.
Website enhancement
- Stop using the weird AI translations and use unified wherever I can.
- Implements a few ideas from 100 things to do :
6 : Edit robots.txt to limit AI crawlers coming through- 8 : Development a reactive image map, like a floor plan of the website. Might need javascript but that'll be really visually appealling
- 13 : Add an easter egg (what ? how ? where ?)
14 : Add a comment section (and therefore enter the mastodonte community)- 20 : Consider accessibility using WAVE
- 27 :
Understand RSS philosophy, technicalities, and eventuallyimplement it 64 : Make a favicon. Whoops, should be higher- 70 : Help someone setup their own website
- 100+81 : Add a map of places visited (zoom mainly on Europe)
- Create a stat board
- Study analytics and integrate elements in the stat board
- Create a scrawler script that keeps the stat board up to date
- Write a makefile to make sure I run the scrawler before building ! (build-scrawl-build ?)
- Procedural tag bubble colors
- A rainbow shortcode
- Backport all thoses changes (echart, stat board, procedural bubble, rainbow text) to Duckquill and update to latest (4.8+)
